STYLE TIPS FOR MEN

SUGGESTIONS NOT DIRECTIONS
‘Obvious’ is often overlooked, like for example ensuring a proper fit, investing in good quality fabric and ensuring that you build a resilient and versatile wardrobe.
1. STYLE IS NOT STANDING OUT, BUT BEING REMEMBERED
A two-button stylish jacket that fits properly across the shoulders is key and a staple to help bring a lot of different looks together. You can then incorporate your individuality and style around that. The most important thing to remember is it’s the way you wear it and not the brand name that impresses.
2. WATCH FOR LIFE
Whether it be a new luxe smartwatch or a rugged sports watch that goes with everything a stand out piece invariably becomes a talking point, being remembered for your individuality, style and taste has its own rewards.
3. COLOUR ME BEAUTIFUL
Take a chance and invest in several coloured items for your wardrobe. It could be as simple as a tee in a light blue, pink, mustard or burgundy. Pair with your favourite denim or chinos and it will lift your entire wardrobe. Remember to err on the side of caution, if in doubt less is always more.
4. FASHION FADES, STYLE IS ETERNAL
Denim or Chinos, choose a slim tapered look as they work for most body shapes. The wider thigh equals comfort while the narrower bottom means you can wear them dressed up or dressed down with smart shoes or with sneakers.
5. SHOES FIRST THINK LATER
Spend money on a pair of good quality shoes and a pair of durable sneakers. Suede Chelsea boots in a dark colour will stand the test of time as will a pair of good quality white trainers. For the winter months invest in a pair of quality military style boots with a chunky sole or a sturdy pair of biker boots. These quality investment pieces are both versatile and will last a life-time if you take the proper care.
6. TODAY I WILL BE A BETTER MAN
Devote the time (and money) in taking care of your investment pieces and spend the money if it says Dry Clean on the label. Hang your well ironed clothes on non-wire clothes hangers. Try to avoid using a spin dryer to dry your clothes as invariably they will never look the same again. Polish, clean and take care of your shoes. Invest in a proper grooming regime. Again, it may seem obvious but people will take notice if you take care.
